Applicant Process

The Tin Whistles Scholarship Foundation works in close partnership with Scholarship Coordinators and Principals at select Moore County high schools, relying on their insight to help identify promising candidates. Coordinators receive the Foundation’s application materials along with key deadlines, ensuring that interested students have timely access to all necessary information.

A Tin Whistles Scholarship Selection Committee then interviews applicants and evaluates them based on academics, extracurricular involvement, leadership, and financial need. After selections are made, the Foundation hosts an orientation for new Scholars and a Scholar Reception that brings together the new recipients, Scholar Alumni, and members of The Tin Whistles community.
