Pinecrest 2024, Duquesne University

connor cuthrellI wanted to thank all the Tin Whistles for putting on an amazing Christmas party as well as the hosts for having us! I also wanted to give a bit of an update as I haven’t done so since last year.

This year has been incredible with so many different opportunities and clubs I’ve been blessed to be a part of. Your financial support has allowed me time to invest in my passions new and old without a heavy financial burden weighing me down.

I now serve as the worship leader for my campus ministry in addition to being on the leadership board for both Crossroads and Club Ultimate Frisbee. I picked up some new hobbies including golf, rock climbing, and bouldering. My passions of trumpet and running are stronger than ever as I just completed my third trumpet jury and qualified for the Boston Marathon in a time of 2:47 in November.

Last year I was accepted as a resident assistant for the 2025 school year, and I have been working as an RA since. I’ve been extremely blessed to have a great group of friends at Duquesne sure to last a lifetime.

I’ll be studying abroad in Italy next semester and I’m now 3.5 years away from completing my goal of graduating as a physician assistant and completing medical mission work in war torn countries.

I am so extremely grateful for the Tin Whistles financial support. Thank you for everything you do.”
